Rainbow Six: Siege Beta Delayed (Hopefully) Briefly
Rainbow Six: Siege was meant to be coming to beta today, giving players a couple days of play a week before the game came out and allowing Ubisoft kicked the tires on the title. A little risky if you ask me from a developer stand point, but great for consumers.
However, something seems to have gone wrong. In a forum post over at Ubisoft, it's been explained that the beta has been pushed back a couple hours from when it was meant to go live. In the post, the team behind the game give reasoning, saying:
-
Game sessions are not starting properly and we've encountered server deployment issues, leading to failed connections. We've identified the root issue that was introduced after the Technical Test while fixing a separate aspect of the game. A fix is currently under test and will be deployed within the next few hours.
- They say we should expect an update on the status at 6PM EST. They also reassured fans that this bug won't be a problem when the game launches as the root has been identified. You'd hope so anyways. As a multiplayer focused game, you'd hope for a smooth launch.
Update: And we're live
