XSEED Games Announces "Story Of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town"

XSEED Games announced this week that they will be bringing Story Of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town to the Switch this Summer. Of course, we know the game under its Harvest Moon title in the West, but this version will be a complete reimagining of the 2003 Bokujō Monogatari title. Completely re-envisioned for modern gamers while still holding onto that old simulation farmer charm that made it popular. While the name may be familiar and parts of it intact, there's a ton of new content coming for this one. Veterans will be able to return to a land they remember with a completely new translation and mechanics. Meanwhile, newcomers to the series will be getting a taste of what made the series popular in a modern format. No word on an official release date, but you can check out the trailer below for Story Of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town.

Summoned by Mayor Thomas to visit the farm once owned by their late grandfather, a young city-slicker returns to Mineral Town to find the once lush farmland has fallen into disrepair. Memories of idyllic summers spent in Mineral Town come rushing back and they immediately pick up their tools, vowing to restore the fields to their former glory. In their new hometown, they'll tend the land and become part of the bustling rural community. Along the way to becoming a world class farmer, they'll befriend townsfolk and, perhaps, even find romance.
