Amber Heard And Her Fabulous Hair Share A Photo From The 'Aquaman' Set

We live in a world where a large portion of people are very excited that there is going to be an Aquaman movie. In fact there are some people that are more excited for Aquaman than they are Justice League. What a world we live in. However, there are some parts of the DCEU that have changed considerably from their source material. That isn't a bad thing but sometimes it feels like they haven't remained true to much of anything. That's what makes this picture that Amber Heard shared from the Aquaman set so encouraging.

Look at that hair! It's so red and insane looking. It's bright and curly and over the top and everything about it just screams "comic book movie" in the best possible way. Wonder Woman taught us that a little color and a lot of heart in a DCEU movie can go a long way and everything we've seen from Aquaman looks very much the same. Director James Wan has already promised a very different movie from previous DCEU entries and this looks like he's keeping his promise. Wan also had the advantage of two extra months to work on this movie after its release date was pushed back.

Heard is playing Mera Aquaman's wife and the Queen of Atlantis in the comics. We have seen a brief tease of her in the trailers for Justice League where she will make her big screen debut.

Summary: Arthur Curry learns that he is the heir to the underwater kingdom of Atlantis, and must step forward to lead his people and to be a hero to the world.

Aquaman will be directed by James Wan and stars Jason Mamoa, Amber Heard, Nicole Kidman, Patrick Wilson, and Willem Defoe. It will be released December 21, 2018.
