Former WWE Superstar Brodus Clay Tells Fox News Vets Should Guard Schools with M-16s and Dogs

The professional wrestler known during his time in WWE as Brodus Clay and currently wrestling as Tyrus for Impact moonlights as a frequent Fox News Contributor, and he appeared on the Greg Gutfeld Show on Fox this week to discuss gun control in the wake of the tragic school shooting in Florida. Tyrus, who has worked as both "executive security" and as a teacher in the past, claims to have the solution to school shootings: out-of-work veterans could be employed by a TSA-type organization that would manage security at all of the nation's schools.

"If we outlawed guns tomorrow — no more guns in this country — all you would do would be opening the business market for the black market," Tyrus explained. "Just like we said 'no drugs,' and drugs still get pushed in this country, and we have no idea what's out there. That's just not who we are. We have freedom of speech, and we're gonna have guns. That's what our country is built on."

"But, when 9-11 happened, the planes hit the towers, airports were changed forever," Tyrus continued. "We got the TSA. Our children are getting hit. It's time to change the schools forever."

"There's a population out there," said Tyrus, offering a solution. "Last year's stats were 4.3% unemployment for returning veterans in this country. That's 435,000 trained men who have eyes and ears. We need to have them at the schools. TSA needs to be at the schools. One way in. One way out. You have dogs. There's not one person in this building who'll say 'up my taxes $25, whatever it needs to be, a trillion dollars.' It's a business. I would even take money away from other things."

"We need to get with it because now it's guys with guns," Tyrus urged. "Ten years from now it's gonna be guys with a drone. It's gonna be guys with a remote control [unintelligible]. And who's better? When I'm at the airport and I see a guy with an M-16 and a German shepherd dog walking by smelling something, I'm not worried."

Tyrus wants schools to be guarded by men with M-16s and German shepherds? Somebody call his mama!
