Game Of Thrones Beats Out Doctor Who For Hugo Award
Tonight the Hugo Awards were handed out and there were a few headline making moments. Games of Thrones episode The Rains of Castamere beat out Doctor Who anniversary episode The Day Of The Doctor as well as Orphan Black's Variation Under Domestication, Adventures In Space And Time and The Five(ish) Doctors Reboot. This was in the category of Best Dramatic Presentation, Short Form.
The Hugo Awards are given for excellence in the field of science fiction and fantasy. They were first awarded in 1953, and have been awarded every year since 1955. The awards are run by and voted on by fans.
