Will The Scarecrow Return In Gotham Season 4?
Back in season two of Gotham, we got a glimpse at Batman villain the Scarecrow when a young Jonathan Crane was introduced along with his father. Gerald Crane was played by Julian Sands and confronted Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and Harvey Bullock (Donal Logue), but Jonathan (Charlie Tahan) wasn't a bad guy…yet. In an interview with DC All-Access, McKenzie was asked what villain would he like to face off against in Season 4, and his answer: Scarecrow.
Tahan, who had a recurring role on Wayward Pines and is currently filming the series Ozark, would be a contemporary villain to the young Bruce Wayne (David Mazouz). All of the other villains, including the artificially aged Poison Ivy (Maggie Geha), are much older. While I like the idea of bringing Scarecrow back, it may be too early for how the character was previously set up — unless he's going to be a direct villain for Bruce.
