If You Only Played The The Elder Scrolls Online Beta, You Can Play Free Next Weekend
I know I am not alone in trying out the Elder Scrolls Online beta, but never indulging in the full game. While I genuinely enjoyed the mixture of classic Elder Scrolls gameplay and MMO infrastructure, the subscription model and initial buy-in was far to steep for me.
The game has now gone subscription free meaning a huge barrier for entry has been lifted, but there is still a hefty intial price to contend with. In a bid to rake in lapsed players like me, ZeniMax Online is offering a promotion that if you played that beta, but never jumped into the full game, you can try it out next weekend for free.
The Welcome Back Weekend will take place on Friday, April 17 and ends on Monday, April 20. This applies to me, so if the cards fall right, I might jump back in to see what has changed. Of course, I'd be opening myself up to loving the game and then getting sucked into an MMO, so maybe it's best if I don't…
Thanks to VG247 for the heads up!
