Mark Wahlberg To Attend Hascon In September, Because Of Course He Is

Mark Wahlberg appeared in the last two big-budget Transformers films, and sadly he did not raise the profile (or quality, really) of the material to the heights most would have hoped. This summer while doing press, he said this was The Last Knight would be his last in the franchise, showing great admiration and loyalty to franchise head Michael Bay in the process:

"I signed on to make these movies with Michael," Wahlberg told Collider. "After Pain and Gain, I was like, 'Whatever you want to do. Anytime, anywhere, just let me know.' So we'll see. But usually I'm going with Bay."

But not being in more of the films won't stop him from doing other things for the franchise. Wahlberg has now been tapped to attend Hasbro's first-ever Hascon in September. Wahlberg, while not confirmed at this time to be signing at a table or anything of that ilk, will attend both a panel about The Last Knight and the VIP dinner celebrating the entire franchise — which actually sounds cool. Here are the details:

Join celebrities and producers, including Mark Wahlberg, Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis, from Transformers: The Last Knight as we look back at the magic moments from the franchise's cinematic legacy. Peter Cullen and Frank Welker will give a special introduction to the first ever HASCON Transformers Hall of Fame ceremony, with a special appearance from past inductee Yoke-san, famed toy designer from TakaraTomy, along with a special guest.
