Shout Studios has announced through Deadline that they have acquired the rights to many Jim Henson Productions films. Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal are included, which will undoubtedly receive mega-edition Blu-ray releases that the company is known for. The agreement covers streaming, video-on-demand, broadcast, digital download, packaged media, and limited non-theatrical rights. So, expect many beloved titles to be released in 2024 and beyond, as this is a multi-year agreement. I also would not be shocked if we saw those films and more on the Shout! Studios streaming channels.
