StarFox Will Be Playable At E3 To Get Ready For Release This Year

2558128-starfoxIf you've kept an eye out, you may have noticed I have a bit of a 'thing' for StarFox. I think StarFox 64 is a masterpiece of on-rails shooting and it ranks as one of my most beloved games of all time. That could be rose tinted glasses, but for me, StarFox really is an extremely tight series with ingenious design at its core.

As you can probably guess, I'm pretty excited about the Shigeru Miyamoto designed Wii U StarFox that is set to come out later this year. Nintendo confirmed during The Game Awards that it would be out before the unnamed Zelda game that is set for 2015.

To get ready for the game, StarFox Wii U will first be playable at E3 Miyamoto confirmed in an interview with Smosh, saying:

We'll have a version of it ready at E3 that everyone can play.

He added that the game will have dual screen functionality, showing the Arwing from two different perspectives. Miyamoto added this functionality was "really important, and it works really well." I'm really interested to see what the Wii U's gamepad can bring to the series.

If all falls into place, I should be on the floor of the show floor at E3. I'm sure I'll be first in line to get my hands on with the game, so hopefully I'll have some word come Summer.
