The Destiny Community Helped Raise Over $1 Million For Nepal Relief
Destiny has been taking up a significant portion of my time recently as I've fallen back into the absurd gameplay loops Bungie pull me through. I've been getting to know the community too, and I'm quite impressed with the good will around the game's players.
Here is one example of just what that community can do too. Back in May, I reported that Destiny was putting together a shirt drive to help provide relief for the earthquake stricken Nepal. That drive has now ended and in a new Community post, Bungie announced that the community had raised $1,026,000 in the drive. That is pretty staggering for one game.
If you were one of the ones who ordered the shirt, it is said that it is first come, first served in that regard, but that the orders are being fulfilled now. It's a beautiful little design too, so it's a pretty fine reward for helping out.
