Walking Dead Actor Leaves Social Media After Alleged Death Threats
The Walking Dead actor Josh McDermitt has left social media. The actor who plays Eugene on the hit AMC series shutdown his Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts after posting a video where he talks about alleged death threats that he has received. Twitter account TWD HQ re-posted McDermitt's video.

The threats seem to come from his characters arc on the most recent season of the television series. But the actor also called out some on-line body-shammers who had been going after his co-star Alanna Masterson just prior to his characters betrayal on the series. So it's hard to say for sure exactly what started this.
McDermitt told the Huffington Post in a previous interview: "It's very frustrating, the Internet, because people feel they have a platform to just say whatever the hell they want and it can be anonymous because you can say the most racist, vile, stupid crap and hide behind the name @GrimesLovesMcDermitt … they think they can hide behind that a lot of times I feel like they're just kids."
In what may or may not be related news, Motor City Comicon announced that McDermitt will not be attending their show this month due to scheduling conflicts.
