Young Justice Fans Pay Attention On July 27th

Young_Justice_TV_seriesThe animated series Young Justice lasted for two seasons (43 episodes) before Warner Bros and DC Entertainment gave it the axe. Fans of the series were not happy at all, of course.

Well, DC's recent announced Comic Con plans and schedule included the following line: "Attendees who stick around to the end will be privy to a special WAC announcement that will excite fans both "Young" and old. Room 7AB." With the emphasis on "Young".

This is leading some websites like comicbook.com and idigitaltimes.com to speculate that Young Justice will return. Especially since the second season ended with a cliffhanger.

The announcement is taking place during the Batman For All Seasons panel that looks at Batman in all forms of media. And maybe the speculation is right and Young Justice is coming back… but the fact that it's a WAC announcement, as in Warner Archive Collections, would make me think that its going to be a collected set of both seasons on Blu-ray and DVD or something of that nature. Maybe it will include some form of conclusion for the series in scripts, animatics or even a final episode. But it would seem very odd to me to have WAC announcing the return of an animated series or even a animated movie at the end of a panel on Sunday instead of during the panel highlighting Batman: Assault on Arkham original animate movie.

So Young Justice fans, you'll want to keep your eyes and ears open on Sunday July 27th, but I wouldn't get your hopes up too high.
