Marvel's Inhumans Trailer Heavy On Intrigue, Power...And Lockjaw

After weeks of casting announcements and teasers, ABC released the first-look teaser trailer for Marvel's Inhumans, an eight-episode series centering on the Royal Family of the Inhumans, a race of genetically advanced humans with incredible power introduced by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby in Marvel's Fantastic Four comic book in 1965. The first two episode of Inhumans will premiere in IMAX theaters on Sept. 1; followed by the broadcast debut on ABC on Friday, Sept. 29, at 8 p.m. ET/PT.

Trailer footage swiftly sets the philosophical theme for the series: Black Bolt (Anson Mount), the silent king of the Inhumans, looks to maintain the ways of their people and continue building their civilization on the Moon; while his brother Maximus (Iwan Rheon) believes the time has come for the Inhumans to embrace their power and make their presence known. The conflict results in betrayal, a coup and a battle that finds its way to Earth.

From ABC's original announcement of bringing Inhumans to series:

After the Royal Family of Inhumans is splintered by a military coup, they barely escape to Hawaii where their surprising interactions with the lush world and humanity around them may prove to not only save them, but Earth itself.

Inhumans stars Mount as Black Bolt, Rheon as Maximus the Mad, Serinda Swan as Queen Medusa, Ken Leung as Karnak, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Mike Moh as Triton and Sonya Balmores as Auran.
