Hearts of Iron
The Hearts of Iron board game announced at PDXCON this weekend is the most raw of the four board game adaptations announced. Crusader Kings was the most put together, while Cities: Skylines was relatively set in terms of its rules and function. HOI though, was just a game board with some box art.

One of the four board game adaptations of Paradox Interactive's game franchises is for Europa Universalis, which some of you might recall actually started as a board game. Not many have played the original Europa Universalis board game, as it was notoriously difficult to properly play.
Paradox Interactive Announces Brand New IP Imperator: Rome
The second major announcement of PDXCON this morning was the news that Paradox Development Studio are working on a brand new, internal game. Imperator: Rome is an upcoming grand strategy game set in the classical world from the glory days of Athens to the establishment of the Roman Empire four centuries later.
