Dave Bautista Calls Sean Hannity, Tucker Carlson Pussy Grabbin Racists
WWE Hall-of-Famer and Hollywood megastar Dave Bautista isn't sitting idly by as WWE engages in the biggest ratings war since the late nineties. No, we aren't talking about NXT vs. AEW. The real ratings battle is taking place on Monday nights as WWE Monday Night Raw goes up against the Fox News lineup of pundits, most notably Tucker Carlson and Sean Hannity. Any given Monday, WWE, and Fox News go head to head for ratings dominance, and the winner isn't always clear. WWE often wins the key 18-49 demographic, while Hannity and Carlson's shows run away with overall viewership thanks to dominance in the 50+ demo.
But things haven't been going well for Fox News backstage. Just two weeks ago, Tucker Carlson's head writer Blake Neff was outed as a racist message board troll and resigned from the show. The creative shakeup occurred just a month after WWE experienced a creative shakeup of its own, replacing Paul Heyman with Bruce Pritchard as Executive Director of Monday Night Raw. Amidst the backdrop of this ratings war, Dave Bautista has been involved in a long-running feud with fellow WWE Hall-of-Famer President Donald Trump. Trump, whose association with WWE goes all the way back to the 1980s, is essentially the Hulk Hogan of the modern wrestling landscape, not only because both men have said blatantly racist things on tape and gotten away with it, but also because Trump jumped ship from WWE and joined up with rival Fox News, just as Hogan left WWF for WCW back in the day.
Fox News was dealt another blow in the ratings war this week when top stars Hannity and Carlson were named in a sexual misconduct lawsuit alongside several others at the network. Dave Bautista, seizing the opportunity to attack his longtime rival and score a victory for WWE in the ratings war, took to Twitter to cut a shoot promo on Carlson, Hannity, and the others, tying it into his feud with the President. "No wonder they love @realDonaldTrump so much," Bautista tweeted. "Birds of a sexual predator flock together. Creepy pussy grabbin racists!"
Yesterday's cable ratings haven't hit the web yet, but the wrestling world is paying close attention to see how this latest scandal affects the war. Bautista, in the meantime, has resumed attacking other Trump allies, such as Republican Senator Lindsey Graham. "What kinda dirt does he have on you #LadyG ??" Bautista tweeted at Graham. "Your 180 degree turn from speaking the truth about your Fuhrer to having your wee little head wedged deep in his jiggly ass is mind boggling. #WrongSideOfHistory #Sellout #Racist"
