Hideo Kojima Further Outlines Death Stranding At Sony's TGS Conference

Sony's conference at the 2016 Tokyo Games Show just came and went, and one of the biggest pieces of information out of the show for Western gamers was when Hideo Kojima came onto the stage to talk about Death Stranding.

There was no new footage or trailer, but he did outline the game a little more, albeit in a rather strange way. The basics are this; Death Stranding is an open world online games that is focused on bringing players together. He explained this by making an analogy about sticks and ropes, something he has used previously. His argument is that most games offer players 'sticks' to achieve a goal, especially in combat. While Death Stranding will have 'sticks', it will also have 'ropes' for players to come together and complete objective. It was then illustrated with this image:

I can kind of see what he is getting at…vaguely. It sure seems a very Kojima way to explain it though.

However, he did also confirm that the game has found its engine and is currently being worked on, which was a point of contention for a bit, so that is great to hear. Full steam ahead.
