Team Ninja is Making an Announcement This Weekend, Stoking Dead or Alive 6 Fires
Team Ninja has announced that after a Dead or Alive 5 competition this weekend, it is going to be revealing something new. This news has stoked a lot of speculation that Dead or Alive 6 might be on the horizon.
The developer is holding a Dead or Alive 5 competition this weekend called Battle Royal 2017 Grand Finals at NEC18. Fighters will compete over a $6000 prize pool, but it seems there will be more. The event is being live-streamed, and Team Ninja is imploring the audience to stick around after the competition for an announcement. It tweeted:
Dead or Alive 5 is certainly getting a bit long in the tooth, so the time feels about right for the next game. Of course, for all we know, this could just be new DLC or something along those lines, but you'd think the developer wouldn't announce unless they had something to get genuinely excited for.
