Nintendo is Rumored to Be Pursuing Legal Action Against Soulja Boy

If anyone should know anything about Nintendo, it's that no one is safe from being sued by the company, and that goes for Soulja Boy. Who has already been in the news a couple times this week releasing his own game console with a ton of emulated games, and wanting to launch his own esports team. Now he's in it for a whole new reason that could land him in legal trouble. One of the gaming units he released is this handheld console called the Retro SouljaBoy Mini created by Anbernic, that looks a hell of a lot like the original Game Boy and Game Boy Color units from the '90s. Which, if you weren't aware, Nintendo apparently still owns a patent on the look.

According to MTO News, Nintendo has sent a letter to Soulja Boy, informing him that the design violates the Trademark Counterfeiting Act, which can include jail time. We'll see how the rapper responds, but we're guessing either he didn't know or thought Nintendo wouldn't care. But as dozens of people who used to own emulation websites can tell you, Nintendo cares. They care A LOT.
