In 2005, a book with a simple black cover and a pair of pale hands holding an apple quietly slipped into bookstores. This was Twilight by Stephenie Meyer, and no one could have predicted that this vampire-human love story would ignite a pop culture wildfire. Within months, Twilight was flying off shelves, thanks to Meyer's blend of forbidden romance, supernatural mystery, and teenage angst. However, in 2008, things would change as Twilight made the leap from page to screen. Directed by Catherine Hardwicke, the film starred Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, who instantly turned the duo into teen icons. In 2024, LEGO brought this vampire love story to life with their new Twilight – The Cullen House LEGO Ideas set.

This movie was moody, the romance was intense, and the Pacific Northwest looked like a misty dreamscape. Twilight wasn't just a hit; it was a pop culture milestone, and midnight premieres would bring many fans into the dark. Soon, merch would flood stores, and Twilight officially stepped into the glittery sunlight of global fame. It only took over a decade for this fandom to get its own LEGO set, and they were sure to deliver with an impressive 2001-piece set. We actually got our hands on this LEGO Ideas set, which brought back many feelings of teenage angst and a supernatural love triangle. We are putting the spotlight on Twilight with our next LEGO build as we craft up the Cullen House from the ground up.

This set features a three-floor layout with seven LEGO minifigures featuring humans, vampires, and a seductive werewolf. Bella Swan is the main character here as she arrives in Forks, Washington, to live with her dad, who has just gifted her a beat-up red truck. There is no better way to start this set off than with this truck, which also debuts the first two Twilight LEGO minifigures, Bella Swan and her dad, Charlie. While the truck is not down in the dumps like in the film, it is a great way to start off simple, showing the more human side of Forks before we really sink our teeth into this set. Stay tuned as we go over all things Twilight as we continue to build The Cullen House and discover all of its secrets.
