Vampirella Gets a What If Figure from Executive Collectibles

Vampirella is still celebrating her 5oth anniversary this year. When you make it this far in your pop culture career it is amazing to take the time and look back at some iconic moments throughout their history. DC Collectibles is doing a lot of that with their Batman releases this year from new statues and figures featuring som forgot and highly popular Batman costumes. With Vampirella, they are doing something a little different and I think it is just amazing. In 1976 Actress Caroline Munro was picked as the leading lady for a possible Vampirella film. She had already made a nice name for herself in the supernatural world so this role would fit her perfectly. In the end, the actress and hammer films couldn't settle a dispute and it had Munro walking from the role. Executive Replicas is giving fans the ultimate "what if" figure with a carefully created Vampirella Carlonie Munro figure. The figure features a perfect portrayal of Munro in the role of this dark queen and is packed with accessories and a perfect collector's item for any Vampirella fan!

Vampirella celebrates her 50th anniversary in 2019 as a pop culture icon. What started as a comic magazine in 1969, quickly became a phenomenon for the readers of the time who gravitated toward a much darker and sexier character who stood out among the other popular "super" characters of the time.

Vampirella's legacy has been marked through the years by contributions from the top writers and artists. In 1976, 7 years after Vampirella's first appearance, Hammer films opted the rights to produce the Vampirella Film and their first choice to star in the lead role was the beautiful Caroline Munro who already had made a name for herself with The Golden Voyage of Sinbad, The Abominable Dr. Phibes, Dr. Phibes Rises Again, and Dracula A.D. but due to differences, Caroline had to turn down the role, and unfortunately the film was never made.
