Bloodshot Takes A Day Off
If we would've run this 12 days ago, no one would've believed it. But Valiant is announcing a new one shot for this July called Bloodshot's Day Off. Writen by Eliot Rahal and drawn by Khari Evans, the new story is meant to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the character and features the Bloodshot Squad that was introduced in the Bloodshot Island storyline. The one-shot features Tank Man and Viet Man as they try to adjust back to civilian life.
For the first time in over 30 years, two nanite-enhanced soldiers once controlled by Project Rising Spirit – codenames: "Tank Man" and "Viet Man" – have finally earned their freedom and some government-sanctioned downtime, courtesy of Uncle Sam. After enduring a lifetime of war, blood, and fire, all these two semi-retired commandos want is a little vacation. But how long can this pair of highly trained tourists unwind and enjoy the sights of New York City… before they find trouble in the city that never sleeps?
Bloodshot first appeared in Eternal Warrior #4 (1992) and was created by Kevin VanHook and Yvel Guichet. Bloodshot will appear in the upcoming webseries, Ninjak vs the Valiant Universe where he will be played by Jason David Frank (Power Rangers).
Bloodshot's Day Off will be in stores July 5th. Covers by Kano and Khari Evans. There will be variant covers by Ben Tiesma and Renato Guedes.
