Doctor Who Comic Day Is Coming This July
This past weekend was the Gallifrey convention in Los Angeles, so there was a lot of Doctor Who stuff going on. But if you missed it, and a lot did because the thing sold out in minutes… Titan Comics has announced their third annual Doctor Who Comics Day on July 9th, 2016.
The day is described as set to be even bigger with new comics and collections, signings and events across the globe. Last years event tied in with a five-part weekly Doctor Who comics cross-over series by Paul Cornell and Neil Edwards, and according to the publisher saw comic readers get the chance to celebrate Doctor Who Comics Day at over 2900 locations including comic shops, bookstores, retail chains and libraries.
"We've got some great things planned for this year's 2016 Doctor Who Comics Day event," said Ricky Claydon, Direct Sales & Marketing Manager at Titan Comics. "As well as working closely with stores and libraries to develop events for the day, for 2016 we'll be supplying Doctor Who fans with event kits to hold their own reading group events."
More details about this year's 2016 Doctor Who Comics day event will be released soon. Any stores ore libraries wanting to participate should go to Titan-Comics.com for an event kit.
As a fan of both Doctor Who and comic books, I thing any event that might bring new readers into shops is an amazing one.
