Lumberjanes Wins GLAAD Media Award For Outstanding Comic

Lumberjanes 001 - Cover BLumberjanes, the Eisner Award-winning series created by Noelle Stevenson, Shannon Watters, Kat Leyh, Carolyn Nowak and Brooke Allen can added another award to the mantle. The BOOM! Studios fantasy/adventure series won for Outstanding Comic at the 2016 GLAAD Media Awards  The awards honor outstanding portrayals of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender communities through all forms of media. This is the second time the series had been nominated, but their first win.

Others nominees in the category were: Angela: Queen of Hel; Harley Quinn, Midnighter, and The Wicked + The Divine.

Winners in other categories included the Amazon Prime series Transparent for Outstanding Comedy Series, Netflix's Sense8 for Outstanding Drama Series and Carole for Outstanding Film.
