Preview The Second Chapter Of Wild's End, Starting This Week With 'The Enemy Within'
The time has finally come! This week brings the release of Wild's End: The Enemy Within #1, from BOOM! Studios, written by Dan Abnett, with art by I.N.J. Culbard.
Most of you probably remember the intense ending of the series. Now the story continues… As Clive, Susan, Fawkes, and the other survivors of the alien invasion of Lower Crowchurch try to cope with what just happened to their small town, the military arrives in an attempt to cover up the "incident." Town residents are immediately detained, questioned, and treated with suspicion. Are they alien spies, collaborators, sympathizers? Clive and the rest will need to escape imprisonment if they're to get the word out and warn the rest of the world before the aliens return.
I was fortunate enough to get a look at the first issue of the new Wild's End series before I did an interview with the creative team for the latest issue of Bleeding Cool Magazine (which is now available at your local comic book store.) As a big fan of the initial run of the series, I was thrilled to find out that they were continuing. The cast of characters is so unique and the story itself is a page turner.
