Wrestling Legend Jim Ross Regrets Supporting Donald Trump

It's no surprise that an old-school member of the pro wrestling brotherhood like Good Ol' Jim Ross would be inclined to vote for Donald Trump for president when he ran back in 2016. Trump himself is a WWE Hall-of-Famer, whose association with the company dates all the way back to WrestleMania 4. Trump has been an on-air personality for WWE, participating in the main event of WrestleMania 23 and once showering the audience with money. Vince and Linda McMahon were big financial donors to Trump in 2016 and Linda McMahon now serves on Trump's cabinet as head of the Small Business Administration.

In fact, Ross was a supporter of Trump even earlier than his 2016 bid, tweeting in 2011:

But since then, Ross has been having some second thoughts. Ross took to Twitter to write of his previous tweet: "Boy, was I mistaken."

It's unclear what changed Ross's mind, but there you have it. For fans of JR who disagreed, Ross was sure to keep things polite while trashing both of 2016's candidates:

Good gawd almighty! Those candidates are broken in half!

About Jude Terror

A prophecy says that in the comic book industry's darkest days, a hero will come to lead the people through a plague of overpriced floppies, incentive variant covers, #1 issue reboots, and super-mega-crossover events.

Scourge of Rich Johnston, maker of puns, and seeker of the Snyder Cut, Jude Terror, sadly, is not the hero comics needs right now... but he's the one the industry deserves.
