REVIEW: Wonder Twins #12 — "The Perfect Punctuation Mark On A Breathtakingly Entertaining Series"
(DC Comics, creative team: Mark Russell, Stephen Byrne, Dave Sharpe)
The phrase that fits most is "sticks the landing." Tying up virtually every loose end from the whole series with just enough context to make them clear, this gorgeously rendered virtuoso performance is absolutely wonderful. There's at least four solid laughs here, some great quotables, a killer callback to an earlier issue that hits like a sledgehammer to the chest and the irrepressible charm of Zan matched by the indefatigable righteousness of Jayna. The script from Mark Russell is firing on all cylinders and the brisk, inviting visuals from Stephen Byrne and Dave Sharpe are perfectly suited for this very engaging work. This is the perfect punctuation mark on a breathtakingly entertaining series. RATING: BUY.
