Annapurna Interactive Announces "The Artful Escape" Coming In 2020

During XO19, we got a couple different announcements from Annapurna Interactive, including one for their game The Artful Escape. Just looking at this game feels like a drug trip as it was created by Australian developer Beethoven & Dinosaur. You'll jump into the role of performer Francis Vendetti on the eve of his first performance. You'll get to fight the legacy of a dead folk legend, the cosmic wanderings of his own imagination, and the music that guides you. The Artful Escape will be released for Xbox One and Apple Arcade sometime in 2020. Enjoy the trailer and the screenshots below!

In the game, players will traverse majestic landscapes made of sound, triggered by their movements, as if the world itself were an instrument. Players will experience close encounters of the third kind-style musical jams, endless possibilities for custom on-stage personas, conversations with all manners of being from disenchanted publicans to lumbering alien wildlife, as well as the ability to walk, run, double jump, air walk, light cannon, trip and dance across the multiverse.
