Complete Power Plant Event Raid Rotation In Pokémon GO

The Power Plant event is now live in Pokémon GO. While the second half of this event is set to introduce Team GO Rocket content, the first half has the main feature of Helioptile's appearance in the wild. What does the Power Plant event bring to Pokémon GO's raid rotation, though? Is there anything worthy of your raid pass out there? Let's take a look.

Tier One

  • Beldum – Shiny capable, standard rate
  • Blitzle – Shiny capable, standard rate
  • Klink – Shiny capable, boosted raid/egg-only rate
  • Pikachu – Shiny capable, standard rate
  • Shinx – Shiny capable, boosted raid/egg-only rate

This tier will remain in place throughout the entire event. Personally, I do not believe it is worth your raid pass to raid Pokémon that can be found in the wild that have a standard Shiny rate. That rate does not increase when they're featured in raids. With that said, neither Klink nor Shinx can be found in the wild during most standard gameplay. This time around, I'd suggest raiding Klink but skipping Shinx, as Shinx is now a Community Day Pokémon that will be likely featured in some way during the recap December Community Day. Also, most trainers will have a good dozen Shiny Shinx available for trade. The time when this species is worth a raid pass has ended.

Tier Three

  • Druuddigon – Shiny capable, thought to have a boosted rate
  • Mawile – Shiny capable, boosted raid/egg-only rate (While it has now been made available as an encounter, this still remains true)
  • Scyther – Shiny capable, boosted rare spawn rate
  • Typhlosion

This rotation came into play on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time and will end on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time as the Power Plant event switches up. Stay tuned for a new Raid Rotation breakdown when it goes live. Until then, though, all of these Pokémon except Typhlosion are worthy of your pass. Druddigon is who everyone is going after, but note that both Mawile and Scyther both offer increased odds at catching a Shiny as well.

Tier Five

  • Shock Drive Genesect

Shock Drive Genesect, which cannot be Shiny at this time, will be replaced by Regice on Monday, January 24, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

Mega Raids

  • Mega Aerodactyl – Shiny capable, standard Mega-capable rate of approximately one in 60

Mege Aerodactyl will remain the Mega Raid boss until February.
