Doomfist. By far, of everything Overwatch fans have been demanding and salivating over, this character has been one of the longest teasers in the game's brief history. Every time someone brings up the character's name, it just seems like the never-ending speculation of who they are and what we'll get continues. You could make a weekly podcast based on the false rumors of this character alone. Well, hopefully all that will finally come to an end, as it looks like we're finally getting the character this summer.
Apparently, the crash log for the upcoming patch that's supposed to reduce duplicates and allow better ways to capture your best moments of the game includes another round of "Summer Games" and Doomfist! First reported on Reddit and then shown off on the Overwatch forums, people spotted the reference, but the posts were quickly deleted. Luckily, a few websites snagged the screenshot of the original data, which you can see here.
If the calendar holds true like it did last year, you'll be seeing the Summer Games appear in August, which means there's a chance we'll get Doomfist at the same time, or perhaps at the tail end of the games. But since we haven't seen any teaser trailers for the character yet, it's all speculation at this point.
