Fig The Video-game Exclusive Crowdfunding Platform Raises $7.84m

Fig, the gaming crowd funding site (founded by CEO Justin Bailey) has raised $7.84M Series A funding led by Spark Capital (Oculus, Tumblr, and Twitter) and Greycroft (Maker Studios, Scopely, and Venmo) to increase their ability to provide more game projects for investors and backers.

Unlike several other crowd-funding sites, Fig also functions as a publishing platform. Fans of the gaming projects on Fig can support pojects through either rewards-based campaigns like on Kickstarter, or through investing in shares tied to a game project's securities, i.e. Fig Game Shares™.

Back in 2016, Fig hosted four of the year's top ten crowdfunded games including Psychonauts 2, Wasteland 3, Jay and Silent BobL Chronic Blunt Punch, Consortium: The Tower, Kingdoms and Castles, Make Sail, and Trackless. Fig has a 78% campaign success rate, which is higher than most other crowdfunding platforms.
