During a round table at Valve's headquarters in Washington, boss Gabe Newell weighed in on the Trump travel ban, saying "We have people who work at Valve who can't go home. They've been here for years. They pay taxes. They cheer for New England in the Super Bowl and we try to not hold that against them…  But you know, they can't leave the country," he continued.

So now when it comes to event planning, Valve must look at which employees would be able to go and come back and which ones cannot. "So that's a problem, not just these hypothetical future employees but actual Valve employees. So yeah, that's a concern for us."

Valve has now joined the likes of Harmonix, the GDC, Insomniac Games, Microsoft, Bioware, and others. You can read PCGamer's take on the interview here and you can also check out some of our previous coverage on the tech sector's reactions to the ban here and here.
