If you've been patiently waiting for Halo: The Master Chief Collection to debut on PC, you may not have that much longer to wait. When it finally does arrive, it will include cross-progression, according to 343 Industries.

You'll be able to have full-featured cross-progression as well as cross-saving. All campaign progress, career stats, medals, rank, playlist completion, and more will go with you to eat platform. The same goes with your achievements you unlock while playing via Xbox One. The only thing that won't carry over is your mission checkpoints.

Unfortunately, cross-play is another story, at least at first. Both Windows Store and Steam versions can play with each other and are fully compatible, but the Xbox One version won't be at launch.

"As we've said previously, this is something the team will monitor and evaluate over time," said 343 Industries over at its official blog.

There's still plenty of positives to look forward to when it comes to getting the Master Chief Collection on PC. Cross-progression is an important feature, of course. I, for one, can't wait to have the option to hop on PC and play.
