Judgment's New Version Releases in Japan in July
The new version of Judgment that replaces the voice actor and character model for Kyohei Hamura will release in Japan on July 18, 2019. The "New Price Version" will feature the same character model and voice actor that will be released in the West.
Sega changed the game to remove voice actor and character model Pierre Taki from the game after he was charged with illegal possession and use of cocaine.
From the Anime News Network:
Sega announced on Tuesday that it will begin offering a "New Price Version" of its Judgment (Judge Eyes: Shinigami no Yuigon) PlayStation 4 game in Japan on July 18. The release will have the new model and voice for the character Kyohei Hamura, with the same model used in the game's Western release.
Sega changed the character model and Japanese voice for the character Kyohei Hamura in the Western release after the arrest of Denki Groove member and actor Pierre Taki on charges of illegal possession and use of cocaine.
Sega temporarily ceased sales of the game after the arrest. The game shipped in Japan last December.
The game will launch in the West as previously scheduled on June 25.
The Western release of Judgment will feature dual-audio tracks on release.
Judgment is a spin-off of the Yakuza series and was released in Japan on December 13, 2018.
