Kickstarter To Watch – EXO One

In terms of notable Kickstarter projects to watch out for this week, Exo One is definitely the project to keep an eye on, and not only because it comes with an endorsement from Alex Hutchinson, current Creative Director and Co-Founder of Typhoon Studios, though that is in fact how I found the game. But you should keep an eye on it because it's just that cool.

Exbleative's Exo One bills itself as "A surreal exoplanetary exploration game. Pilot an alien craft that can manipulate gravity on mankind's ill-fated First Contact mission" which should be enough to rouse your inner sci-fi nerd. It's a science fiction flight sim that takes you to a ton of incredibly detailed planets, and lets you explore on your own.

The game's already racked up $7320 AU out of it's humble $35,000 AU goal. The game does in fact have a series of rewards tiers and stretch goals that show off some prior planning but mostly just the passion of the development team.

Backers will be able to get their hands on not only an alpha preview build of the game, but the game's beta stage as well. Alongside some other goodies like an art book and soundtrack. Really though, what I think should sell you the most is the game's visuals, though the soundtrack isn't to bad either. This game is pretty as hell and incredibly colorful. It's just gorgeous, isn't it?
