New "Animal Adventures" Models, Book on Kickstarter!
Brace yourself, loyal readers – this news is a bit hairy. It's a new line of models and a book for Animal Adventures!
Animal Adventures: Secrets of Gullet Cove is a new book by Steamforged Games, launching its Kickstarter tomorrow, January 28th! This "swashbuckling adventure set" is one that will expand the Animal Adventures line into its own fully-fleshed out universe that will be fully compatible with "the fifth edition of the world's first fantasy role-playing game". Points to whoever can guess which one that is.
In the past, Painting Polygons in partnership with Steamforged Games created two lines of models – Dungeons & Doggies, and Cats & Catacombs – and both were very successful on Kickstarter. Tomorrow, we will see if a whole system will work with this line. Fingers crossed!
From the press release:
NEW ANIMAL ADVENTURES KICKSTARTER LAUNCHING JANUARY 2020
Animal Adventures: Secrets of Gullet Cove will expand the popular line of RPG miniatures into a fully-fledged universe.
January 2020, MANCHESTER, UK – Following two successful campaigns, Animal Adventures is returning to Kickstarter with its most exciting set yet.
In the latest addition to the line, Russ Charles of Painting Polygons is once again turning cats and dogs into classic fantasy roleplaying characters—this time, as part of a fully-fledged universe.
As well as providing a brand new collection of adorable miniatures, Secrets of Gullet Cove introduces a unique setting that can be added to an existing roleplaying campaign or used to launch a new one.
Secrets of Gullet Cove, which is fully compatible with the fifth edition of the world's favourite fantasy roleplaying game, also provides new non-playable characters, secrets, locations, and a collection of multi-part adventures.
Priced at $70 (around £54), the core pledge includes 21 unpainted minis—from feline wizards to canine clerics—with further minis to be unlocked throughout the campaign.
One miniature, a Paladin dog named The Warden of the Golden Collar, will be a Kickstarter exclusive.
As well as the miniatures, the core pledge includes an illustrated, hardback book with artwork provided by leading industry artists, and a collection of maps.
Animal Adventures: Secrets of Gullet Cove will be produced in partnership with Steamforged Games, creator of tabletop miniatures games Godtear and Guild Ball.
The campaign launches January 28th on Kickstarter.
