New 'Star Wars: Legion' Miniatures Game Being Made By Fantasy Flight

Fantasy Flight got Gen Con 50 started off the right way as this afternoon they announced a new line of Star Wars miniatures in a brand new game called Star Wars: Legion. These figures look absolutely fantastic below as you're seeing a full complement of rebel fighters and Stormtroopers fighting on Tatooine with Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker in the middle!

One of the big things to note is that these figures are looking more like ones you'd purchase in a game like Warhammer rather than any of the current figure sets you would see in other Star Wars properties like Imperial Armada. The primary set, which you can see on their mini site for the game, will be going out in early 2018 for $90. The set is unpainted but it is primed so you can color them up however you see fit, even if you want to make Vader red and make Luke look like he's described in Heir To The Empire.

In our personal opinion, that set looks amazing. Apparently, you use customized dice for the round where one person controls the Rebels and the other controls the Empire. There are full details about the game on their mini site, but 2018 can't come fast enough.
