Nintendo Switch Is £279.99 In The UK – We Have Beaten Dollar To Pound Parity

nin

To be fair, even with Brexit and the slump in the pound, that's not far off how things usually go. The Nintendo Switch will be £279.99 alongside the US' price of $299.99. But that does include UK's VAT sales tax. And, frankly, that's not bad at all.

But an even bigger difference this time is cross-country compatibility for the games. No more region settings.

So you could order your Nintendo Switch in the UK (in grey or in red/blue), and get all the UK compatible settings/power cables and the like.

But then order your games from the country with the best price points. So you could order Zelda in the UK for £59.99 – or other games for less.  Or order Zelda in the US for $59.96 – basically £10 off.

Of course, then you have to pay shipping and taxes. But you could always pick them up on holiday. Or get a friend to do so.

Which also means you can buy games only released in other territories without going through some hideous transfer process. And that may be the biggest change of all…
