Original New Hero Qhira has Joined "Heroes of the Storm" on the PTR
The knight-turned-bounty hunter Qhira has arrived on the public test realm for Heroes of the Storm today. Qhira is the newest original hero to be added to Blizzard's MOBA, and while she's only available on the PTR right now, she will hit the game properly in a few weeks' time.
Qhira is a deadly Iresian Bounty Hunter, who functions as a versatile and dangerous Melee Assassin armed with a deadly Iresian Chainblade. Qhira is a former knight of her now shattered homeland and her battle prowess is unmatched on the field. With Iresia destroyed, Qhira has become a Bounty Hunter with an array of abilities adept at both beginning fights, and more importantly, ending them. Her distinctive playstyle is great for lightning-fast engages and dealing high amounts of damage before help can arrive, so any Heroes of the Storm assassin main will want to check her out.
Additionally, Heroes of the Storm is seeing the return of the Warchrome Wastes arena and updates to the ranked PvP modes.
To celebrate the return of the Wastes, Blizzard has released several new character skins including:
- Deathranger Nova Skin
- Daredevil Roadrider Raynor Skin
- Corrupted Archangel Diablo Skin
- Molten Diesel Speaker Nazeebo Skin
- Daredevil Helldorado Mount
For those interested in the upcoming ranked PvP updates, those changes are also available on the PTR. The changes will go live alongside the start of Storm League Season 1, 2019, and bring a few highly requested features like Ranked Points being directly mapped to a player's Storm League MMR, a reduction in the number of Placement Matches, and a new Ranked Seasonal Questline.
You can check out Qhira's spotlight video below for a look at how she handles in-game. Or check out the upcoming ranked PvP changes detailed in the patch notes.
