Resident Evil Will Be Making Its Way Into Dead By Daylight
Resident Evil fans will get to see the characters jump into a new game as they're headed to Dead By Daylight. The brand new partnership was announced this afternoon as part of Capcom's Resident Evil Showcase livestream, as the company has collaborated with Behaviour Interactive to bring characters from their universe into the 4-v-1 asymmetrical multiplayer horror game. What characters we'll be getting is unknown at the moment, but just taking a guess from the trailer below, it's clear the survivor addition will probably be a scientist from Umbrella Corporation while the killer will probably be someone like Nemesis, Verdugo, or Tyrant. We'll probably see what the characters are in the next chapter reveal, but since they just barely added a new chapter with the K-Pop-themed "All Kill", it's probably going to be at least two months until we see anything new. In the meantime, we have a couple of quotes from today's announcement, and enjoy the trailer.
"We are excited to be working with the legendary studio Capcom to create the next Dead By Daylight chapter", says Dave Richard, Creative Director for Dead By Daylight. "It is an honor and an absolute joy to welcome the original survival horror game Resident Evil in The Entity's universe. The result is fantastic and will surprise new players and veterans alike. Players can expect a chapter packed with iconic content and novel ways to sacrifice or survive inspired by the renowned franchise."
"This is such an awesome new addition to our universe! If you had told us, five years ago when we launched, that one day we would be adding characters from the legendary Resident Evil world into our game, none of us would have believed you", explains Mathieu Côté, Game Director for Dead By Daylight. "We are so very grateful to Capcom for everything they've done over the years to bring horror to the world of video games. And today, we get to bring these icons into Dead By Daylight. It is an incredibly proud moment for us."
