Ubisoft Celebrates the 20th Anniversary of Anno 1602 with a Free Download
If you can believe it, the Anno series has been running for twenty years now. To celebrate the series' anniversary, Ubisoft has made Anno 1602: Creation of a New World available for free on PC. The publisher has also opened up registration for the closed beta of Anno 1800.
Anno 1602: Creation of a New World was originally released in 1998 and is available for free until December 22, 2018 on Uplay PC. The game is set in the Early Modern period of history and invites players to discover an island world, to colonize and expand it and to trade with other islands – along with protecting it against potential enemies. Anno 1602 was the first in a long series of successful city-building video games and helped pioneer the genre.
