Assassin's Creed Might Be Going To Egypt Next But Also Scrapping Yearly Releases
The one thing I keep hearing about Assassin's Creed from fans is that they wish the game would take a bit of a break. I'm not sure we need a yearly Assassin's Creed game and fans seem to concur.
Well, according to Kotaku's Jason Schreier (and NeoGAF) who correctly called out last year's Assassin's Creed in advance, the series might take a year off this year. It's said the next release will come in 2017 instead, giving us some breathing room. The report says that this 'every two year' approach might stick as well.
Perhaps more importantly though, the report also says that ancient Egypt will be the next location, working under the name Empire right now. I know this is a time period long sought after in the franchise, so I'm all in.
Of course, Assassin's Creed wont' actually be taking a year off, as the film will release this year, so even the die hard can be satiated.
As someone who really enjoys Assassin's Creed, this all sounds excellent to me. I'm all for this.
