Dota 2 Spectator Mode Is Getting The VR Treatment

Dota 2 is one of the things I have really come to enjoy as a mainstay of my rotational gaming schedule. While games come and games go, Dota 2, has been the thing that I always happily come back to every few months.

With Valve coming out with their own supported VR headset, and already having a Dota based demo, it seemed inevitable the two things would cross.

And indeed they have. Valve have now announced that Dota 2, at least as the ever popular spectator sport, is getting Steam VR support. Soon you will be able to watch matches in a virtual space. For a brief demo, take a look at this video (thanks Данил Азами).

Now if only we could figure out actual play in the headset. Still, I'll probably watch part of The Championship in this to check it out.
