Manu Bennett Teases The Return Of Slade Wilson To Arrow
One of the big stories near the end of Arrow season five was the return of Manu Bennett as Slade Wilson / Deathstroke. Bennett was a regular in the first two seasons of the show, made one appearance in season three and then was gone. He had publicly stated that he wasn't happy about his one return visit in season three, not feeling the character was handled properly. Deathstroke would appear in season five in the Matrix-style 100th episode, but it was not Bennett in the costume. When word came out that he would be returning for the season five finale, Bennett had fun with fans as he denied it up until the very end, contradicting specific posts by executive producer Marc Guggenheim and series lead Stephen Amell. In the end though, Bennett did return for the finale.
With the six season now in production and word that Bennett would return for the season premiere and a two-part episode involving the search for his son, Joseph, Bennett is no longer playing the denial game and is once again embracing the eye patch. The image below from his Instragram account shows the actor in Vancouver, looking ready to go in a rather dashing all black ensemble. Bennett will also be appearing in the second season of the Shannara Chronicles which is moving from MTV to Spike.
The Shanarra Chronicles returns October 11th and Arrow returns October 12th. Two Nights of Manu!
