Paydirt is a new crime thriller starring Luke Goss, Val Kilmer, Mike Hatton, and Mercedes Kilmer. Goss stars as a man getting out of jail who gets back with his old gang to try and find a big bag of money that was buried during a DEA bust years earlier. Kilmer plays the retired cop who tries to "right past wrongs." All of this leads to a shootout in the desert. The film is written and directed by Christian Sesma and is set to release in theaters, On Demand, and digitally on August 7th. You can see the trailer, the synopsis, and the poster for Paydirt down below.
Paydirt Synopsis and Poster
"A parolee teams up with his old crew determined to find a buried bag of cash stolen five years ago from a DEA bust gone bad, but a retired Sheriff's obsession to right past wrongs leads to a gun blasting showdown in the middle of the desert. Paydirt stars Luke Goss, Val Kilmer, Mike Hatton, and Mercedes Kilmer and hits theaters, On Demand, and digital on August 7th."
You know, people will make fun of this film for its poor lighting and kind of weird acting, but I want to watch this. Val Kilmer being crazy and doing Val Kilmer things is always a good selling point, and some of these action films coming out right now on digital services are a ton of fun to watch at home on the weekend. Paydirt clocks in at a brisk 89 minutes as well, so it isn't much of a time commitment either. I don't know, besides the admittedly not so great poster up there; this one could be fun. Am I crazy? Probably, but I still will probably watch this on August 7th.
