The third season of UnReal, the Lifetime drama set around a dating show competition, will be delayed until 2018. The news came from a tweet by series star Constance Zimmer:
Here's to the fans…Hang in there for #season3 @UnRealLifetime AIRING in the FIRST part of 2018!! #Unrealtv2018 pic.twitter.com/KLzL7ESwqc

The series was expected to return this summer, exactly one year from when Season 2 debuted. The delay is to allow the network to pair it with their new Greg Berlanti-produced series You — because every network needs a Berlanti series.
UnReal started off as a critical success, garnering high praise, two Emmy nominations, and a Peabody Award. But the series had a bit of a rocky second season, which lead to executive producer Stacy Rukeyser being named showrunner for season three.
Though the series airing has been delayed, filming of the third season in Vancouver has already completed.
