"Luigi's Mansion 3" is Everything You Expect it to Be

The Luigi's Mansion series exists solely to answer the question "do you want to bust ghosts with a goo-tastic duplicate of yourself?" and Luigi's Mansion 3 is no exception. Naturally, the answer to that question is always an enthusiastic yes. Unless you don't have a soul, in which case you aren't playing Nintendo games anyway.

The controls for Luigi's Mansion 3 are familiar for fans of the series, but they can be a bit difficult to control if you haven't played the games before, or if it's been a while. So there is that to keep in mind. The button mapping is a bit non-standard, which can be both a blessing and a curse for the player, because you just might do something so stupidly wrong that it actually works.

The game's core is still essentially the same as the previous games, with a few tweaks and updates, but the essential gameplay experience should be absolutely familiar.

Luigi's Mansion 3 is exactly what you'd expect of Luigi's Mansion, in only the best ways. There isn't a lot to the game that's not ideal. The puzzles are just challenging enough to be fun, the combat is just tricky enough to be a surprise, and the humor is spot-on perfect.

Luigi's Mansion 3 will release October 31, 2019 for the Nintendo Switch. Because there's really no better way to spend your Halloween.
