Southern Bastards brings this arc to a conclusion with a three-way battle between Robert Tubbs, Coach Boss, and Boone. Who will win? Is it a good read?

In short, I wasn't a fan of the Draxophone.
Avengers #1 cover by Ed McGuinness
Win: Avengers #1 Leaves Me Hopeful
While Avengers #1 by Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness wasn't exactly the shattering fresh start for the Avengers for which I hoped, the comic did leave me optimistic as a fan of Earth's Mightiest Heroes[...]
Plus, the opening creative team is made up of Jason Aaron and Ed McGuinness.
How is it? It's good It isn't as explosive or exciting as I'd hoped, but it's a solid start and promises an interesting future for the title.
I love this lineup, even the odd addition of Robbie Reyes Steve Rogers' arguments for these[...]
Jason Aaron has given this saga a near-perfect finish, and I look forward to the epilogue issue to come This one is highly recommended Give it a read.

We are taken back to the day when Jane Foster first picked up Mjolnir before rejoining the present, where the Mighty Thor is facing off against the Mangog[...]
Can Thor stop this monster? Will Jane Foster live to see another day? Pick up this issue from Jason Aaron and Russell Dauterman to find out.
Tales of Suspense #103 cover by Andrea Sorrentino
Tales of Suspense #103
Black Widow, aka Natasha Romanoff, died, but the Winter Soldier and Hawkeye just found her while investigating someone they expected to be her hit[...]
Were I not being paid to read such things, I would drop this like a led balloon.
Thor #704 cover by Russell Dauterman and Matthew Wilson
Win: Thor #704 and the Ballad of Jane Foster
Jason Aaron's Thor does it again with an epic issue of heartbreak, war, and dire decisions. While the Odinson and Odin himself battle the Mangog, Jane[...]
Dauterman and Wilson's art backs up Jason Aaron's story perfectly, and the book is definitely recommended Give it a read.

Jane Foster reflects on the great losses of her life—losing her mother to cancer, losing her father later on, and the death of her ex-husband and son—while sitting in the hospital[...]
Black Panther fends off the Secret Invasion of the Secret Invasion in Wakanda. He doesn't have to fight them alone; his wife Storm helps T'Challa defend his kingdom. Does this tie-in hold up?
For the upcoming expanded re-release of the Patrick Meaney-directed documentary, Chris Claremont's X-Men, I was given the opportunity to interview both Meaney and Chris Claremont himself to talk about the documentary, the X-Men, and the kind of comics the world needs.
There will likely be little left for whomever comes to save the gods.
One thing that Jason Aaron has done quite well is justifying the fury of the Mangog His origin comes from Odin wiping out a race, and, though his actions are brutal, Mangog isn't entirely in the wrong to resent the gods of Asgard[...]
He answers.
Thor #702 cover by Russel Dauterman and Matthew Wilson
I'm a bit late on the Jason Aaron Mighty Thor train, but damn does he tell a powerful tale of Thunder The chaos of the War of Realms, the desperation of Jane Foster's health, and the terror that is Odin's furthering madness all come together for[...]
Gorr was a Jason Aaron creation I guess we will have to wait and see I know Gorr is dead now, but Thor #700 did allude to him with that Galactus and Ego section.
Also important: this issue has an ending! There is a conclusion to this fight We're not left hanging on who the winner[...]
Russel Dauterman, Olivier Coipel, and Daniel Acuna particularly bring their A-game, and it's quite cool seeing Walter Simonson brought in, even for a single page.
Jason Aaron puts on quite the show for this celebration of Mighty Thor, and it has me interested in the future exploits of Thor, whosever it may be The promised returns[...]

Jason Aaron is a good writer, and, though I get the impression he didn't get a lot of say in the contents, the character presentations are solid.
Esad Ribic and the murderer's row of all-star artists, such as Chris Samnee, Steve McNiven, Daniel Acuna, Alex Maleev, Mike Deodato Jr., Jim Cheung, and others do a rockin'[...]
The guest list includes Jason Aaron (X-Men, Star Wars), Sandy King Carpenter (Film Producer & Comic Writer), Ming Chen (AMCs Comic Book Men), David Lafuente (Archer & Armstrong), Dustin Nguyen (Descender), Stan Sakai (Usagi Yojimbo), Cat Staggs (Wonder Woman), and Timothy Zahn (Star Wars Novelist).
They'll also be doubling the square footage of the show, which[...]
With the reveal of this major character's return in this Wednesday's Marvel Legacy #1, is it really the exciting surprise return we were promised?
[rwp-review-recap id="0"]
One of the big releases of Marvel Legacy as it returns to original numbering in such a way that it lands on a big anniversary issue, The Mighty Thor #700 is a massive juggernaut of an issue that is truly worthy of its landmark status in the ongoing story of the God(s) of Thunder.
The[...]
Brevoort said in response:
"I think that depends on what you mean by the long haul — some of them, such as Dan Slott on Amazing Spider-Man or Jason Aaron on Thor have already been on for a very long haul, and will continue to be."
As you can see, this also means that writer Jason Aaron will continue with Thor for some[...]
issues, so sooner than you'd think!" In another exchange, when asked if creative teams on Marvel Legacy books would be on those books for the long haul, Brevoort responded by saying that "barring the vicissitudes of fate and business, the creators doing these various titles should be there regularly — though not necessarily the same[...]
After all, Jason Aaron, the writer of Marvel Legacy #1, has been using the Phoenix a fair bit of late himself, in The Mighty Thor and Generations: Thor He obviously has plans for the character And with rumours that Aaron is taking over Avengers in the future with a big event in mind, perhaps it's[...]
But then, that's not unheard of.
For now, only time will tell, but once Marvel starts the ball rolling with these kinds of teasers, they usually like to keep it going.

Nine superstar artists and Greg Land have joined current artist Esad Ribic on the book, which could move the needle on orders despite past comments about artists' lack of ability to do so and a generally lukewarm reaction to Marvel's much-hyped Legacy variant cover reveals.
According to a press release, Steve McNiven, Russell Dauterman, Chris Samnee, Alex Maleev, Stuart Immonen, Pepe[...]
Jason Aaron's epic run on the character is still chugging along, Thor: Ragnarok is looking like it has a shot to be the craziest and most-entertaining superhero film of the year, and there are more Thor-related toys on the shelf right now than any other time One of those that you can get your hands[...]

Hot off the heels of DC's 2016 Flintstones series, Marvel is taking its own trip to the distant past for the industry-changing Marvel Legacy one-shot by Jason Aaron and Esad Ribic But unlike The Flintstones, which was a unique and interesting take on the concept conveyed throughout a year-long monthly series, Marvel Legacy will change[...]
That's clearly got to be better than One Million Moms, and no, sadly doesn't have anything to do with the number of readers Bleeding Cool has or us becoming Avengers (yet).
Rather, Marvel Comics is out to tease, in their usual piecemeal fashion, the One Million BC Avengers, the primordial Avengers of the dawn of man,[...]
