DC Comics Cancels Joe Ledbetter's Black-And-White PVC Figures

Artist and toy designer Joe Ledbetter (aka JLed) designed a number of takes on DC Comics characters, sculpted by Joe Menna into PVC figures, and released from DC Comics' Artists Alley merchandise imprint in limited editions, 3000 for colour, 1000 for black-and-white.

Well, it looks like the black-and-white editions will be a lot scarcer than that. In that they have been cancelled.

The colour editions are still on schedule for 2th April 2019. But the B&W variant has been scrapped. DC will not be resoliciting them. We have reached out to ask why and will update if we get an answer.

DC Collectibles still has them on their website and links to their sale from online retailers, for May 2019. But apparently you'll only get them in colour…

A skilled and multifaceted creator, Joe Ledbetter (a.k.a. JLed) has experience as an artist, illustrator and (perhaps most importantly for Artists Alley)…a toy designer. Born from humble origins in underground art shows and influenced by 1980s video games, animation and skateboarding, he's risen in prominence thanks to his crisp, bold lines, a vibrant palette and work that is socially conscious, reflective and human.
JLed's anthropomorphic creature work has been a hallmark of his design, and his take on DC characters is a delightful mix of literalism and playfulness.

Crafted from the artwork of Guillem March, a multifaceted artist who has produced multiple covers for Harley Quinn comics, the newest entry in the HARLEY QUINN RED, WHITE & BLACK statue line brings a playful, minimalist-tone to the Maid of Mischief.
