The 8th Doctor Gets A 1/6th Scale Figure
The first was the 10th, now the second is the 8th…
If that makes sense to you, then you're probably a fan of Doctor Who. Big Chief Studios and Sideshow Entertainment have announced their second 1/6th scale Doctor Who figure, the 8th Doctor as portrayed by actor Paul McGann.
The 8th Doctor only appeared in a made-for-TV movie filmed by Fox here in the United States, which aired in 1996. It bridged the gap between the final episode of the 7th Doctor (Sylvester McCoy) and the return of the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccelston). However, the 8th Doctor continued his adventures in comics, novels, audio-plays, and the online short The Night of the Doctor, which saw him regenerate into the War Doctor (John Hurt).
The new line of Doctor Who figures started with the 10th Doctor (David Tennant) about a month back and now expands with this new entry. The 8th Doctor comes with eight interchangeable hands, a sonic screwdriver, a pocket watch, a bag of Jelly Babies, a yo-yo, a berillium chip, and a magnifying glass. You can pre-order the figure here.
